Razika in town
The young, but experienced girl band, Razika, will play at Ekstremsportveko Friday 1st of July! They will bring their killer mix of slits-style get-up-and-go, ultra catchy pop-hook mayhem and a shamble-punk attitude to everyones joy! Don´t miss this up coming band!!
Razika consist of four 19 year old girls; Marie, Maria, Marie and Embla from Bergen. Even though they’re young, they’ve managed to play 100 concerts around Norway already!
The band has released two 7¨ and the last one got great critics in Rough Trade who wrote: “Razika are four 18 year old girls from Bergen who’ve sweetly stumbled upon a killer mix of slits-style get-up-and-go, ultra catchy pop-hook mayhem and a shamble-punk attitude which makes this, their debut 7″, infinitely irresistible. They’ve also thrown in a dollop of 2-tone stolen from that label’s best 45s but shot through with power-pop veins. It’s a sound that speaks of pre-internet basement parties, raiding charity shop bins for threads to impress someone no good for you and living each day like it’s the last one of summer.”
Razikas debut album was released in Norway this spring whereas the international release will be in august. The single ´Vondt I Hjertet´ has become a big hit and you can hear it on the radio as soon as you switch it on! The band has recently been on a European tour with another band that played Ekstremsportveko in 2009, Kakkmaddafakka. After they played at by:larm, the big boss of Domino Records, gave Arctic Monkeys a call. The girls will now be playing at all the concerts Arctic Monkeys are having in Scandinavia! We are proud to present the coolest girl band from Bergen and Norway at Ekstremsportveko 2011 on Friday the 1st of July!!!!
